Lyrics I wrote a while back.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Can you feel the shaking ground?
Can you hear the engines booming?
If we die, will we be found?
Or will our absence just be looming?
Here inside our prison doors
We take these creatures to poke and prod
And we're wondering at our cores
Is it our job to play God?
Above them all
Will they see when I fall
Down, down, down...
We've been up here for some days
Trying to complete the mission
Experimenting with life in different ways
Are we living the human condition?
Where did we go, oh, so wrong?
Was it the management?
Mother nature's proving to be strong
Will this hell be heaven sent?
Away from all
Watch the capsule fall
Down, down, down...
People say that a man lost his mind
Projected his crew at the Earth
No one knows what he wanted to find
By they surely hope it was of worth
The stories disappear
We all forget the fear
We go up, up, up
Again...
